While Stowe opened with a rope-tow in 1937, it was not until a few years later, in November, 1940 that the first chairlift was installed. The Mt. Mansfield single chair was dubbed as the longest and highest chairlift in the world at the time, bringing skiers 2,030 vertical feet up the mountain. The original single would remain a staple of Vemont skiing even through WWII until its removal in 1985. Celebrate the iconic green single chair in a clean, modern print. Sure to be a welcome addition to your home or cabin walls.
